This section is separated into “continuous” and “component” heating. Continuous heating relates to processes such as wire and strip manufacturing. Continuous heating includes forging products, billet heaters, and tube annealing. 

Component heating relates to gears, shafts, and processes that generally handle one component at a time. Axle shafts and ball stud hardening, for example, are in this category.
